Tasting Notes: Definitely a beer for the warmer weather. The head tends to stick around longer than I thought it would. The color reminds me of an english bitter. It’s got that deep red hue going on. It certainly lacks the body of other beers but I was looking for a lighter style anyway. The alcohol is not very noticeable so I guess that’s what makes this a “session” beer. I believe i’ll be having some sessions with it.

I would definitley drink this over any macrobrewery lager. It seems like appropriate football beer for some reason. It’s easy to enjoy by many people because it’s pretty unoffending. Normally, I use the term unoffending to mean boring. As far as ales go, this one has been the least exciting of my pursuits. I do think that the most people will find it enjoyable though. I’m thinking it would work well with BBQ because the malty aspect would play well with the sauce or even the dry rub used on the meat. Overall, i’m happy with this and I’ll try to make it again with slight variation. Possibly more hops next time, perhaps in the last 15 minutes.
